The Global Organization for Civil Society Advancement (GLOCA) hosted a series of sessions for the ARISE project, implemented by the Junior Chamber International (JCI) Aleppo, from March 12 to March 19, 2025. Held at the GLOCA office, the sessions addressed key challenges across various economic sectors and entrepreneurship, offering a platform for knowledge exchange and practical problem-solving.

Workshop Highlights

  • Industrial Sector
    Facilitator: Mohammad Al-Tair
    Focused on challenges in the industrial sector, reviewing local and international case studies and introducing the Minimum Viable Product (MVP) concept for project development.

  • Entrepreneurship
    Facilitator: Razek Dawood
    Introduced core principles and competencies of entrepreneurship, identified sector barriers, and demonstrated how MVPs help reduce early-stage risk.

  • Tourism Sector
    Facilitator: Ahmad Jalilati
    Addressed challenges in tourism, shared insights from successful global projects, and highlighted MVP applications in tourism initiatives.

  • Service Sector
    Facilitator: Ihsan Al-Saghir
    Discussed issues in the service sector, analyzed local and international case studies, and explored MVP strategies for early-stage projects.

    Examined systemic problems in education, reviewed effective models, and introduced MVP methodology for innovation in the sector.

    Focused on sales challenges, using strategic tools like SWOT analysis and Porter’s Five Forces, followed by practical assignments.

    Addressed legal barriers to project implementation and provided tailored guidance.

  • Financial Management
    Facilitator: Molham Rihawi
    Covered financial challenges, explained foundational concepts, and introduced structured challenges with deadlines for application.

The ARISE sessions at GLOCA provided an interactive platform for participants to assess challenges, share solutions, and engage in sector-specific training. The collaboration with JCI Aleppo continues to support local entrepreneurs and civil society actors through capacity-building initiatives.
