Enhancing Economic Cooperation Between Turkish and Syrian Industrialists: GLOCA and MÜSİAD Meeting in Gaziantep
As part of its strategy to develop the business sector in Syria and enhance cooperation opportunities between Syrian civil society and the international community, GLOCA organized a meeting with the Turkish Independent Industrialists and Businessmen’s Association (MÜSİAD) in Gaziantep on March 5, 2025.
The meeting was attended by Furkan Özdurdu, Director of the Gaziantep Branch of MÜSİAD, Wassim Al-Haj, Executive Director of GLOCA, and Hussam Al-Shehneh, Director of the Urban Observatory at the organization. Discussions focused on prospects for collaboration between MÜSİAD and Syrian civil society organizations, aiming to contribute to the growth of the business sector in Syria.
Both parties agreed to organize joint workshops between Turkish and Syrian industrialists to foster cooperation and facilitate the exchange of expertise and knowledge in business development and economic opportunities. Additionally, they committed to holding future meetings to deepen this strategic partnership, which is expected to create a supportive environment for innovation and economic growth in Syria.
This initiative is part of GLOCA’s ongoing efforts to support Syrian civil society and enhance its capacities in various fields, particularly in business and economic development.
