Overview
On 22 December 2025, Advancing Civil Society - GLOCA participated in a three-day physical workshop in Aleppo titled “A Dialogue Session Toward Strengthening Civil Peace,” in cooperation with Bright Future Syria Organization and the Syrian Intellectual Forum. The workshop was delivered and facilitated by the Syrian Intellectual Forum, with the participation of 20 activists and civil society actors.

Workshop Focus
The workshop created a safe and constructive space for dialogue on civil peace, coexistence, acceptance of others, and the shared responsibilities needed to strengthen social stability and community cohesion.

Key Outputs
The workshop enabled participants to exchange ideas and practical reflections on civil peace and community coexistence. It also strengthened connections between activists and local civil society actors and encouraged the development of future initiatives that promote dialogue, solidarity, and mutual respect.

Impact
The activity reinforced the importance of continued civic dialogue as a foundation for social cohesion and highlighted the role of youth, activists, and civil society organizations in building a more aware, peaceful, and resilient community.
