PRJ-2023-03 UOSSM - Health Capacity Building
Goal
Description
Advancing Civil Society - GLOCA implemented PRJ-2023-03 UOSSM - Health Capacity Building with support from UOSSM to strengthen healthcare entities in Northwest Syria through a structured institutional and technical capacity-building process.
The project began with Organizational Capacity Assessments to identify each entity’s strengths, gaps, and training needs. Based on the assessment results, GLOCA delivered specialized Project Cycle Management training covering proposal development, planning, budgeting, governance, and the integration of monitoring and evaluation tools into project design and management.
The training was followed by tailored mentorship and coaching sessions, enabling participating entities to apply the knowledge gained in a practical manner. In the final phase, each entity developed a complete funding proposal package consisting of six core documents: project proposal, M&E plan, budget, work plan, logical framework, and risk register. As a result, 10 funding proposals and 60 documents were produced, translated, formatted, and finalized by GLOCA.
The project directly reached 47 participants representing 10 healthcare entities, while indirectly benefiting tens of thousands of people through improved institutional readiness and stronger capacity to design and implement effective health projects. The project also used Microsoft Office 365 and the GLOCA platform to support collaboration, transparency, and partner follow-up. A Power BI dashboard was developed to monitor attendance, progress, test results, satisfaction indicators, and entity performance.
