Overview
On 23 May 2025, Advancing Civil Society - GLOCA held a physical discussion session in Aleppo titled “Syrian–Turkish Economic Cooperation.” The session was facilitated by Wasim Alhaj and brought together 30 participants from economic, civic, and community backgrounds.

Session Focus
The session explored opportunities to strengthen Syrian–Turkish economic cooperation, with a focus on investment, trade exchange, local recovery, and sustainable partnerships that can support affected communities and contribute to economic revitalization in Aleppo.

Participants also emphasized the need for practical cooperation models that support livelihoods, investment, and local economic development.

Impact
The session contributed to opening a dialogue on economic recovery and cross-border cooperation, while reinforcing the value of Syrian–Turkish partnerships in supporting sustainable development and community resilience.
